Gille's Ride
1971 Mustang Boss 351. In the ’80s, Gilles Villeneuve shipped this car across the Atlantic. His wife Joann drove it from Monaco to the Swiss Alps where the family lived, and to take their children to school. Markers and coloured pencils on Strathmore paper. 18" x 9.125"
FW-190 Update
Here is the latest update with actual files generated from the desktop, not taken with my phone camera.
Digital Profile FW-190
It's been awhile since I created a digital aircraft profile. I began an FW-190, with the paint scheme being that from the aircraft of Hermann Graf. I love the scheme on his aircraft. Adobe Illustrator.
Colour & Form Society Membership
I am proud to announce my newly elected membership stars to the Colour & Form Society for 2022. Thank You so much for the privilege and honour!
Gille's Ride
Here is a concept drawing. Gilles used to race this car in his native Quebec. In the ’80s, Gilles shipped it across the Atlantic. His wife Joann drove it from Monaco to the Swiss Alps where the family lived, and to take their children to school. I will likely depict the larger version with markers and coloured pencil. 10.25" x 5.75"
New Christmas Ornament
Started another ornament today. Got one side complete, still one side to do.
Halifax Christmas
A small 8x10 acrylic on canvas depicting a Handley-Page Halifax. I visited the National Airforce Museum of Canada last year where they have a restored Halifax NA337. In the early morning of 24 April 1945, that Halifax crashed into Lake Mjøsa in Norway, killing five of the six aircrew on board. Years later, Tore Marsoe and his friend Rolf Liberg decided to locate the aircraft. In 1991, they found it in the lake at a depth of 750 feet (250 metres). The Halifax was eventually raised from Lake Mjøsa and brought back to Canada, where it took over ten years to restore it to its original glory. It is now proudly exhibited at the National Air Force Museum of Canada. There is also a beautiful volume telling it’s story.
P-38 Lightning Complete
A rendition of the P-38 Lightning, flown by USAF Medal of Honour recipient, Richard Bong. Gouache on Board. 14.75” x 9.875”
A new aviation-themed piece
Time for another aviation piece. This one will depict Richard Bong’s P-38 Lightning.I will likely render it in gouache.
VILLENEUVE
A rear view of Gilles Villeneuve in his Ferrari 312T. 40” x 30”, acrylic on Canvas. I will need to have it properly photographed, this is only a phone shot.
Long May You Run
A scene depicting a vintage International Transtar. I wanted to depict a somewhat romanticized image of long haul trucking from the past. I think that this scene gets it across, an independent of yesteryear hauling along a lonely desert highway at night when the temperature is a bit cooler. Gouache on board. 16” x 10.75"
Peterbilt 352
A scene depicting a vintage Peterbilt 352. This is a kind of “re-do” interpretation of the AMT box art from the 70’s of the same truck. Markers and coloured pencil on Strathmore paper.
Barred Owl
This was a comissioned piece. Acrylic on Canvas. 16 x 20.
Walking The Dog (Lakeview Park Oshawa)
Here is the final image. I added in the figures and had it photographed so it is cropped more accurately. 24" x 12", acrylic on canvas.
(QPRS): F1 GRAND PRIX RACING BY THE NUMBERS
I'm proud to have my work included in a beautiful volume entitled: QUALITY POINT RATING SYSTEM (QPRS): F1 GRAND PRIX RACING BY THE NUMBERS (1950-2019) by CLYDE P. BERRYMAN. The book is chock full of amazing art by an array of automotive artists from around the world. The book is ideal for F1 fans who appreciate the stats and behind the scenes info while also being a visual feast on the aesthetics of cutting edge technology. Thanks to Clyde Berryman for the invitation to include my work in this volume. Looking forward to future projects with Clyde.
Lakeview Park Oshawa
I would like to do more landscape work. This one is close to completion. I may add in a figure or two, will sit on it for a day or two. My scanner also couldn't get the entire image so I may have it photographed instead. 24" x 12", acrylic on canvas.
Completed Portrait Commission
This drawing is complete. It was completed for an anniversary gift and the client asked for an accompanying card with the drawing reproduced on the card as well.
McQueen Bullitt
A fictional depiction of Steve McQueen and his Bullitt on Stockton Street, San Francisco
